Pauanui, on the Coromandel Peninsular, is an ideal place for a beach-side wedding.

There is a 3 km long surf beach, with an adjoining grassed area that is lined, in parts, with shady Pohutukawa trees.  The outlook is the surf and some islands.

On the harbour-side there are wide, tree-lined grassed areas.  The outlook is across the boating activity to Tairua, and in the distance the Coromandel mountains.

Venues for wedding receptions include Puka Lodge and restaurants at the Lakes Resort golf course and conference centre.

Pauanui is only a short ferry ride from Tairua, and is within an easy drive of Hot Water Beach (where you can dig to find warm springs in the sand), Cathedral Cove, Hahei, Whitianga and Whangamata which are all prime tourist areas.
