30 of us Celebrants met on Saturday to be encouraged to be even more creative in our ceremonies.
We discussed the use of candles, flowers, hand-fasting, sand ceremonies, using the Quaich and releasing doves and butterflies, the use of music, working with photographers and what to do when the unexpected happens in a ceremony.
When a group of celebrants sit down together much is shared and so much learnt in an atmosphere of conviviality and openness. Thankfully these occasions arise from time to time through the Celebrants Association of NZ and we are fortunate to have an active branch in Auckland which meets bi-monthly.
Friendships are formed and we can always recommend a colleague whom we trust, and have fine people to brain-storm with when challenges arise. What a blessing!
